Beca de la ABLS (Anderson & Crum Field Bryology Research Award) para apoyar estudiantes en su trabajo de campo
Anderson
& Crum Field Bryology Research Award
The
American Bryological and Lichenological Society (ABLS) is pleased to
announce this year’s program to support student field work
associated with bryological research. This award is made
possible by donations to the ABLS in honor of Lewis Anderson and
Howard Crum, both of whom were committed to field-based research on
the biology of bryophytes.
We
anticipate 1 to 2 awards per year of up to $500 each in support of
fieldwork by bryology students. Funds are intended
primarily to support travel to field sites but requests to cover
other expenses critical to field work will be considered. Proposed
fieldwork may focus on any area of bryological research including
systematics, evolution, genetics, physiology, or ecology. Awards
are not provided for support of travel to meetings,
symposia, or to visit herbaria, museums, or other institutions.
