The Stanton lab, in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral position. Our new group focuses on the functional ecology and ecosystem effects of plants and other terrestrial autotrophs, particularly bryophytes, lichens and terrestrial algae. Current projects include 1) variation in functional traits and communities of lichens and bryophytes along environmental gradients, 2) distribution and physiology of lichenized algae, 3) importance of atmospheric water sources in plant ecophysiology and 4) ecosystem effects of lichens, bryophytes and other terrestrial "cryptogams".
